Since my parents have always loved local art like John Freeman and they bought an original Mackenzie Thorpe a few years ago I have also enjoyed the works of local artists. <br /> Its great to see impressive oils for a change from watercolours that sometimes look a little insipid even when the subject is powerful and as raw as the North Yorkshire coast.
